STAFF SHOUTOUT

Mrs. Plantiko recently won the shooting star award. Every month, the last staff member awarded must choose the next month's award winner. Read below the reasons Mrs. Plantiko is the shooting star for September 2022:

The shooting star award is back! As this is the first person to win the award this year, I think it is only right that we highlight an individual who goes above and beyond to begin every school year. I think back to two years ago when I began teaching at WCA. Despite this person teaching different subjects and grade levels than myself, they never shied away from answering my long list of questions. Despite their own long list of responsibilities, this teacher volunteered to walk me through how to complete a homeroom and welcome call. Fast forward and this teacher continues to be selfless while helping our school be the best we can be. From monitoring their own homeroom students, teaching engaging and fun classes, and acting as a transitional homeroom teacher, there is nothing she can't do. When students talk about this teacher, they can never say enough. Ecelente, Paciente, and Enthusuasta.
