STAFF SHOUTOUT

MRS. PAULY-VERHEYEN

Home to School Liaison

Mrs. Pauly-Verheyen recently won the shooting star award. Every month, the last staff member awarded must choose the next month's award winner. Read below the reasons Mrs. Pauly-Verheyen is the shooting star for October 2022:

I’m going to read a description of the recipient of the next Shooting Star Award.  See if you can guess who the person is:

This person is Determined.  They always go the extra mile to complete a task, and won’t stop searching for the answer if they have a question.  This person even has been known to comb through students’ logs to find LL attendance, and keeps track of that attendance meticulously.

This person is Effervescent.  I have never seen this person have a bad day.  They always come to work smiling, and have more energy than most people half their age!

This person is Bright, both in intelligence and personality!  This person shares so many funny stories and life experiences that helps both students feel comfortable in their presence.

This person is Reliable.  If you need help with something, this person will be there for you.  They honor their commitments to students and staff alike.

This person is Admirable.  They started at WCA at a very difficult time, and never complained about the mountain of work that was in front of them.  They have been such a valuable addition to our staff, it’s hard to remember what WCA was like without them!

Did you guess the recipient of the Shooting Star Award?  Yes, It’s DEBRA!
