Nordic Mountain Tubing - Wild Rose: January 6, 2022
Cost: $8 per participant (normally 17) *Spectators are free*

Suggested grade level: Anyone 42" and above.
Appleton Curling Club - Appleton: January 12, 2022
Cost: $5

Bowling - Menasha: January 19, 2022
Cost: $5 (normally 10)

Snowshoeing - Menasha: February 2, 2022

NO SCHOOL: WCA will be closed on Monday, January 17th for Martin Luther King Jr Day.

SEMESTER ONE REPORT CARDS: First Semester Report cards will be mailed out the week of January 31, 2022. You will also be able to see them digitally by logging into your Connexus account and clicking on the Report Card Link when you are in the grades section for your student. If you don't receive your student's report card by the end of the following week, please reach out and contact the school.
THOMAS SCULLEN SCHOLARSHIP: During the 2007-2008 school year, the WCA Governance Board established the WCA Thomas G. Scullen Memorial Scholarship in honor of Appleton Area School District’s former superintendent. To learn more about the Thomas Scullen Scholarship: THOMAS S SCHOLARSHIP

MIDYEAR i-READY ASSESSMENT: All students in grades 4-12 are required to take the iReady assessments, just as you had taken in the Fall. This is a district requirement that WCA students are required to participate in. Students in the primary grades are required to take this assessment as part of their winter screening and benchmarking. The iReady window is January 5-28. Reach out to your student's homeroom teacher with any questions.
WINTER TESTING: You may recall that your students in grades 4K-3 took reading and math screeners in the fall. We will be having another round of screeners that will come up starting the week of Jan 3, 2022. Click here for more info: WINTER TESTING
SITE-BASED CLUBS: WCA is now offering site-based clubs, available only to WCA students. To learn more about the club offerings - check out the club page: CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

VIRTUAL CLASSES: All WCA students are required to participate in virtual classes. Your child can access the VIRTUAL CLASS SCHEDULES in the student hub: Click their grade band - then the schedule can be found under "Helpful Links." SAVE YOUR MATH WORK!: In order to better assist your child in math, it is helpful for the teachers to view the daily math work. Therefore, all daily work will need to be submitted to the teacher at the end of each unit. If all the daily work is received, full credit will be awarded.
